Group gets grant for Florence child care center

The Lane County Board of Commissioners has awarded $100,000 to Quality Child Care of Florence, under the umbrella of the Florence Area Coordinating Council. Funding for the grant comes from Oregon Lottery video dollars provided to Lane County for job creation and training.
The organization is working to develop a child care center in Florence to provide care for infants, toddlers and pre-school children. The organization's mission is to provide quality, enriched and accessible child care in the Florence area.
