And thank you to the people who tried to save him. I believe that the teenage boy made a wise decision in seeking help from others before heading out into the dangerous waters. Fire and rescue have specialized training to do swift water rescues so these two individuals who went out there risked their lives to help Mr Caudle.
I wish there had been more people like them willing to help when our family needed it.

Well said. They blame Stufflebean for the lack of signs, they blame the young man that tried to rescue him. These "blamers' are the problem with this country.

Don't feel bad about anything that happened reguarding Dean's situation, you did your best and that is all that anyone can ask of anyone. Thank you for trying to help my friend. May Dean "rest in piece".

How can you bash this young man for dropping his "little" sister off and picking up his dad and going back to offer help? Since the article does not say how old she was, I'm sure he was trying to protect her and thought his dad would be better help.
My hat is off to these two brave men for their assistance even though the outcome for Mr. Caudle was not a good one. Thank you.

Now, I do think the county is a small bit at-fault for this, but even with more employees, they can't be everywhere at every time. And citizens CAN take the reigns and put up signs about high water...

SOME OF US POSTED FOR MONTHS NOW, THAT IT WAS NOT IF BUT WHEN SOMEONE DIED AS A DIRECT RESULT OF THE GUTTING OF THE ROAD DEPARTMENT.
MY PRAYERS ARE WITH THIS POOR MANS' FAMILY.
OKAY MUSKATEERS, WHAT DO YOU SAY FOR YOURSELF NOW?
DOES $60,000 FOR A RECALL EQUAL THE LAWSUITS RESULTING FROM JUST THIS ONE INCIDENT?
THIS COUNTY CANNOT AFFORD KEVINS BAD DECISI0NS ANYMORE !!!!!
