Pageants kick off tonight

These misters have fan clubs and they're raising thousands of dollars for charity.
Tonight is Reedsport's seventh-annual Mr. RHS Pageant. The event starts at 7 p.m. in Pacific Auditorium next to the Reedsport Senior/Junior High School.
Tickets cost $5 for adults, $3 for students and children younger than 6 get in free.
The 11 Mr. RHS contestants this year are: John Covey, John Drozek, Derek Froggatt, Cory Gibbens, Alan Griggs, Shane Henderson, Cesar Lira, Robert Olson, Steven Roye, Cody Savey and Brice Young.
The pageant will be hosted by Joe Zelinski and features a group dance, talents and modeling segments. The contestants are raising money for Children's Miracle Network, supporting health programs for infants and children in the region.
Organizers of North Bend High School's 11th-annual Mr. Bulldog Pageant invite the community to the grand finale at 7 p.m. Saturday at the school gymnasium.
Tickets are $7 for adults, $6 for students and $5 for children 5 years and younger.
After six months of raising monies for the "Kid's Helping Kids," a program of the Children's Miracle Network, nine North Bend High School senior boys will compete.
Contestants are judged in a number of categories, including creativity, personality, talent and individual fundraising.
Contributions go directly to the neonatal intensive care unit at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eugene.
