North Bend police are investigating a series of car break-ins in the Hillcrest area early this morning, but a suspect eluded their search.

Sex offender ticketed in address report
Oregon State Police cited a Coos Bay man Monday on a charge of failing to register as a sex offender. Joshua T. Reynolds, 26, went to the OSP office in Coos Bay to change his address on his registration as a sex offender. Troopers found that Reynolds hadn’t registered within 10 days of his birthday. He was cited and released.
