Crash leads to Port Orford man's arrest

A Port Orford man was arrested in North Bend early Saturday after a report of a hit-and-run accident.
At about 12:30 a.m., two callers reported a Toyota 4Runner and Volkswagen Jetta collided at the corner of Newmark Street and Tremont Avenue. The caller told dispatchers the driver of the 4Runner did not stop and was heading west on Newmark.
North Bend officers arrested Daniel Culley, 26, on charges of driving under the influence. He also was cited on driving with a suspended license, driving uninsured and having an open container of alcohol.
He was taken Coos County jail and held this morning on $25,000 bail.
