David Vincent Kirk and Desiree Dawn Edwards, both of Eugene, were married on Oct. 4, 2008, at the Calvary Fellowship in Eugene.

The bride is the daughter of Colleen Waggoner of Eugene and Goddaughter of Terry Mogstad. She is a 2001 graduate of Churchill High School and a 2006 graduate of Lane Community College, where she majored in nursing. Desiree works for the Oregon Medical Group in Eugene as a registered nurse.

The groom is the son of Carol Kirk and the late Peter Kirk of North Bend. He is a 2001 graduate of Marshfield High School and a 2007 graduate of Oregon State University, where he majored in economics. David works for Maxim Healthcare in Eugene as a recruiter.

The bridal party included Apriljo Edwards, sister of the bride, of Eugene; Nathan Kirk, brother of the groom, of Corvallis; and Alijah and Anika Humphrey, nieces of the bride, of Eugene. Bridesmaids were Stacy Edwards, sister of the bride, of Eugene and Demi Waggoner, sister of the bride, of Eugene. Attendants were Darren Driscoll, friend of the groom, of Eugene, Wade Perkins, friend of the groom, of Corvallis and Darren Driscoll, friend of the groom, of Eugene.

The couple spent their honeymoon in Lincoln City.

They have made their home in Eugene.
