MEDFORD (AP) — The Medford airport has opened a new, 100,000-square-foot terminal that is three times the size of its former building.

Airport Director Bern Case said the staff switched to the $35 million terminal on Saturday night. Sunday was the first day of operation.

Adroit Construction built it. The architects were CSHQA from Boise, Idaho, and The Abell Architectural Group Inc. of Medford.

The old terminal is to be torn down this spring.
