I voted for Kevin Stufflebean. I'm ready to sigh the recall....because of the way business was handled. Why Why when you vote people in something snapps in the heads like they are GOD. They forget to listen. Hey Hey we are watching Kevin,

Your are right, and it's a bad issue all the way around.
But! Almost half of these employees used to work for a little mill. You might remember it? I think it was called Weyerhaeuser, but anywho's.

this is about Safety, I take it you do not live on a County Rd., I do and if TREE FALLS and no one can get here to remove the tree and my house catches on fire or should anyone need an ambulance we are out of luck! then what if someone dies due to this I would sue the heck out of some commissioners!!

You've had an under-educated pencil pusher making serious decisions regarding the safety of our roads.
These jobs MUST be restored, to safely manage the road system.
This one is a no-brainer.

So, no it does not come to a surprise that they give themselves big-fat-raises, deny everyone else a small raise for four years despite the fact minimum wage goes up and up, and find it such an emergency to lay off the workforce during the holidays. You think they have anyone's best interest in mind? Good riddance to Griffith and I hope your buddies are soon in your tracks.

And to everyone else: Are you seriously surprised to see the workers get the axe, while the management takes no cut in pay or hours? (even if there is not much, if any, management in this case). That's the way business in America works these days, Expect the same quantity and quality of work out of fewer employees. And yes, anymore government is a business.

Well, few do.
If voters knew the actual roles county commissioners play in our government, then they might elect better ones.
BTW, 'economic development' other than its regulation is not in their job description, and obviously is an inherent conflict of interest.

Looks like yet another illegal misuse of the Executive Session rules ......... which has been a SOP of Coos county commissioners for many years.
The commissioner's prior illegal actions regarding layoffs should now be on the public agenda, and may not be hidden with this bogus claim of it being in litigation.
