Saturday, January 3, 2009 8:10 AM PST

Business owners can get advice on marketing, sales, finances, taxes and employment issues for business survival in the current economy at a Business Survival Bootcamp — Part 1. The event is scheduled from 7:30 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 14, at the The Mill Casino-Hotel, U.S. Highway 101 in North Bend.

Attendees will walk away with a “Top Five Must Do to Survive” from each presenter, a press release said. Following presentations, there will be a question-and-answer period with the full panel answering questions. Speakers, who also are co-sponsoring the event, include: emcee, Clark Walworth, publisher and editor of The World; Ken Croes, station manager of KCBY; Joni Mostert, vice president and commercial loan officer of Umpqua Bank; Michael Gordon, certified public accountant; and Mike Lehman, general manager of Cardinal Services and attorney at law.

This will be a “to the point” morning of information. Each presenter will have 20 minutes to speak.

The cost is $15 per person and includes a continental breakfast.
