PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Police in Providence, R.I., are investigating a small explosion that forced the evacuation of a Starbucks coffee shop.
Authorities at the scene told WJAR-TV that they think the explosion late New Year’s Day was caused by a homemade bomb.
About 25 people were inside the shop when the blast happened just after 11 p.m. on Thursday. No one was reported injured. Starbucks officials did not immediately return a call on Friday seeking comment.
