• Unity by the Bay will hold its annual Burning Bowl service at 7 p.m.
The service provides an opportunity to let go of old thoughts, beliefs and behaviors, according to a press release. Individuals are invited to write down what they want released before the paper is burned.
Unity by the Bay is at 2100 Union in North Bend.
• Port Orford’s Beachcombers Square Dance Club will host a New Year’s Eve dance and potato bar supper on New Year’s Eve. The supper starts at 8 p.m. with pre-rounds at 9 and squares at 9:30. Sherm Welch will be the dance’s caller and Donna Hiserote will cue the rounds until midnight. The event will be at Beachcombers’ Cove on Nicholson Drive north of Port Orford.

• The Mill Casino-Hotel plans two events to bring in the new year. The Greg Aldridge Group will play at the casino’s Warehouse 10; the group will kick-off the warehouse parting at 9 p.m. Partygoers can also find a taste of New Orleans in a Mardi Gras-themed Carnival Ball that starts at 8 p.m.
