Southwestern Oregon Regional Airport opens its new terminal with a gala featuring 320 invited guests. But the festivities are overshadowed by Horizon Air’s announcement, just four days before, that it will discontinue its Portland-North Bend route in October. Congressman Peter DeFazio, speaking at the gala, promises that the South Coast won’t be left without service to Portland.
