MEACHAM, Ore. (AP) — The Oregon Department of Transportation says the westbound lanes of Interstate 84 between La Grande and Pendleton reopened after being closed late Monday afternoon because of snow and ice.

Spokesman Tom Strandberg says slippery conditions caused trucks to crash on the road between Hilgard and Meacham. The freeway remains icy and motorists are asked to drive with caution.
