EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Adult film actress Janine M. James has been sentenced to six months in federal prison for failing to pay more than $200,000 in taxes to the Internal Revenue Service.
U.S. District Judge Thomas Coffin ruled Monday that James must report to prison March 10 and pay her outstanding taxes.
The 40-year-old pleaded guilty in August.
The U.S. Attorney’s office said the former Penthouse model spent more than $750,000 between 2000 and 2006 while failing to make any payments to the IRS.
James, also known as Janine Lindemulder, moved to Oregon after her marriage to TV motorcycle maker Jesse James ended.
Jesse James later married Sandra Bullock.
The U.S. Attorney’s office says Janine James’ current address is in Huntington Beach, Calif.
