Wednesday is the last opportunity for boys and girls in grades 3 through 8 to register for basketball at the Boys & Girls Club of Southwestern Oregon.
Games will start on Saturday, Jan. 10.
Some coaches already have started practicing. Teams must be formed prior to the holiday break to have a spot in the schedule.

Bitty BasketballRegistrations are now being accepted for bitty basketball at the Boys & Girls Club.
The program is for girls and boys in grades 1 and 2 and will teach players the skills and fundamentals necessary to play basketball. It will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays during February.
The fee is $35 with a current club membership and space is limited to the first 60 people who sign up.

Cheer AcademyThe South Coast Cheer Academy is now accepting registrations for the cheerleading class, which begins next month.
The class is for students in grades 1 through 8 and will be held at the Boys & Girls Club from 5;30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting Jan. 6.
This year’s group will be cheering every Saturday from Jan. 10 through Feb. 28.
The fee is $65 with a current club membership and injcludes a T-shirt. At least 12 people must sign up for the academy to be held.

Official trainingThe Boys & Girls Club will hold its training for basketball officials at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 3, at the club office.
All those planning to officiate during the 2009 season should attend the training. The local Oregon School Activities Assocition officials organization will be assisting with the class.
