Claude and Marjorie Coffman, of North Bend, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary, at a Thanksgiving dinner, hosted by their daughter, Sherry Sorensen. The couple was married Nov. 26, 1948.
Claude and Marjorie both attended North Bend High School, Willamette University and Oregon State. Both received teaching certificates and returned from college to teach in North Bend schools. Their three children and grandchildren attended North Bend schools. Their children still live in the area, as well as some of their grandchildren.
Most of the family was able to attend for a great dinner and fun time together. Four great-grandchildren helped provide entertainment.
It was great to have family celebrate their anniversary and enjoy a Thanksgiving together. It makes people think of all they have to give thanks for.
