Gold Beach’s girls basketball team opened the season with a 52-30 win at North Valley.

Four Panthers scored in double figures, led by Kourtney Moore’s 12 points. Rendall MacLaurie, Molly Hockema and Kayla Zuber scored 10 points each for Gold Beach.

The Panthers host the annual Pacific Rim Tournament this weekend, with games Friday against Illinois Valley and Saturday against Phoenix.
