Fire station collects holiday donations

The Charleston Volunteer Firefighters Association will be accepting donations of nonperishable food and clean toy donations through Dec. 20.
People can drop off donations from 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays and from 6 to 10 p.m. every evening during the Christmas Village display at the Charleston fire hall, 92342 Cape Arago Highway.
Other drop off points are Davey Jones Locker in Charleston and the Barview Market. The food will be utilized for families chosen by the Volunteer Firefighters Association within the Charleston/Barview area.
No applications will be accepted. Excess food will be given to the Charleston Food Bank.
