Article:	Air Force honors late artist, Pajares Barrett A number of United States Air Force artists were honored on Oct. 24, 2008 at a black tie dinner event at Bolling Air Force Base in Washington, D.C. The late Jeannette Pajares Barrett was honored for her 26 years of service as one of the artists. On display was Barrett’s last painting for the Air Force Art Program. Beside the easel, a symbolic black candle glowed in her memory. The painting is of two guards standing at attention, waiting for the arrival of the secretary of the Air Force.
