Community Sports: Fast Breaks for Nov. 29: Local wrestlers take top places at tournament

Two members of the South Coast Grapplers were grand champions at the Best of the West wrestling tournament in Central Point last weekend.
Cole Smith and Zack Schneider each were grand champions in their weight classes in the tournament.
Smith recorded two pins and a technical fall and remained unbeaten for the season.
Tyler Campbell finished first in his bracket.
Cade Hite, Kermit Gaston and Thadeus Nelson each finished second, while Wyatt McCarthy was third. Robert Catlett Jr. and Mathew Bynum each took fourth in their brackets, while J.J. Hubbard was fifth.
“The kids are really coming into form and look forward to the Roseburg tournament this weekend,” coach Derek Hite said.
Hole-in-one
Danny Cooper of North Bend aced the 10th hole at Kentuck Golf Course on Wednesday.
Cooper used a 7-wood on the 185-yard hole for his second hole-in-one in 30 years of golfing.
Billiards
Updated standings for the Tioga BCA League and three divisions of the Pacific Coast PoolLeague can be found in today’s Community Scoreboard. Standings will be included in the scoreboard each week they are available.
