Marshfield’s winter sports teams were introduced to fans during the annual Meet the Pirates night Tuesday at Pirate Palace. The coaches and athletes for the swimming, wrestling, basketball, dance and cheer teams were introduced and most participated in either scrimmages or performed routines.
The first official day for winter sports contests is Monday, though Reedsport’s boys and girls will play endowment basketball games at Yoncalla on Friday and Coquille’s boys travel to Santiam Christian for an endowment game Saturday.
