Saturday, November 22, 2008 6:14 AM PST

The Coos County Animal Shelter food drive is in full swing at the Life Care Center in Coos Bay.

According to a press release, last year’s food drive was such a great success that Life Care has decided to make it an annual event. The food drive will run until Wednesday, Dec. 31 and those wishing to make a donation can do so at the Life Care Center, 2890 Ocean Blvd.

Items most needed include dog, cat, puppy and kitten foods, clay litter, quality flea products, toys, bedding, leashes and anything else a pet might appreciate. All items will be enjoyed by the pets residing at the Coos County Animal Shelter. In addition to supplies, financial donations are also appreciated, in the form of a check made out to the shelter.

For more information, call Ann or Robin at 267-5433.
