Renovations will close Brookings City Hall

Saturday, November 22, 2008 |
As part of the city’s efforts to make Brookings City Hall more energy efficient, the finance and city manager offices will be closed Monday through Wednesday for renovations.
Construction workers also will improve working conditions due to poor lighting and environmental issues related to mold and asbestos. While some of the work has already taken place, the bulk was intentionally scheduled to take advantage of the short holiday work week.
Services affected by this temporary closure will be water turn-offs, accepting of payments at the billing counter and administrative support services, such as requests for public records and billing information. Water payments may be placed in the water billing drop box in front of City Hall or held until Monday, Dec. 1, when City Hall will resume normal operations.
For water turn-ons, call (541) 661-1117 during normal business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
