Master Gardeners taking applications for trainees

People with a strong interest in gardening and helping others are invited to apply to become an Oregon State University Extension Master Gardener volunteer.
Coos County-OSU Extension is accepting applications for Master Gardener training, which will begin in January and will be held at the Pony Village Mall in North Bend.
To become a volunteer, a person must attend all volunteer training sessions, pass an examination and do 60 hours of volunteer horticultural service. Training class size is limited. Those accepted into the class must pay a materials fee of $150, with half being returned upon completion of the program requirements. Applications must be received by Dec. 1, and can be obtained by calling 572-5263, ext. 0.
