OSU women rout Houston

CORVALLIS — Talisa Rhea had 18 points and six rebounds Wednesday to lead Oregon State to a 69-47 win against Houston at Gill Coliseum. Alex Mitchell added a career-high 16 points and seven rebounds for the host Beavers, (2-0), who also got seven points and a game-high 13 rebounds from Tiffany Ducker.
Courtney Davis had 16 points and eight rebounds for Houston (2-1). Oregon State led 46-18 at halftime and Houston got no closer than 21 in the second half.
The Beavers scored nine straight after Houston got the first two points of the game. Rhea later had two 3-pointers in a 16-0 run that put Oregon State ahead 29-6. Oregon State led by as many as 30 points in the first half.
