Youth Sports: Boys & Girls Club basketball starts soon

Basketball registration has started at the Boys & Girls CLub of Southwestern Oregon.
Goys and girls in grades 3 through 6 are eligible to participate. The fee is $60 with a current club membership and fee reductions are available for those who qualify. All balances must be paid prior to an athlete being placed on a team.
Teams will be organized prior to Christmas vacation. Practices may begin as early as Dec. 1 and games start on Jan. 10, 2009.
Registration forms are available on-line, at local schools and at the Boys & Girls Club office, 3333 Walnut Ave., in Coos Bay.

Bandon registration
A basketball registration in Bandon will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Harbor Lights Middle School commons.
All boys and girls in grades 5 and 6 planning to play should register at this time.
Anyone unable to attend the sign-up session can call the club’s sports line at 267-6573 to make other arrangements.
Coaches needed
All those planning to coach a Boys & Girls Club basketball team should stop at the club and register as soon as possible.
