SCAT swimmers break records
Kevin Waller, James Verger and Rachel Heaney all broke records at the Shakespeare Open in Ashland last weekend.
The three North Bend High School students began practicing for the high school season this week, but have been practicing with the South Coast Aquatic Team for several weeks.

Verger set his mark in the 1,650 freestyle, with a time of 17:19.84. Heaney’s record came in the 100 butterfly, with a time of 1:00.77. Heaney had four wins in all.
Sean Esperance also won tow events for SCAT at the meet.
