Coquille
Coos County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Coquille man Monday after a report that a man fired gun shots during a dispute over a dog.
At about 9:26 p.m., the Coos County Sheriff’s Office received a report that a man fired several rounds in front of a house at 55710 Finley Loop in Coquille. A deputy and two Coquille police officers went to the scene. They went to a house at 55680 Finley Loop and contacted a man who turned over a pistol. A short time later, a Coquille Police Officer located a suspect’s vehicle at 1321 N. Dean St. in Coquille. Police arrested Ronald Henderson, 48, without incident and charged him with being a felon in possession of a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon.
Henderson remained at the Coos County jail this morning on $50,000 bail.
Brookings
Curry County sheriff’s deputies arrested three people Tuesday on a variety of methamphetamine charges.
According to a dispatcher, at about 2:30 p.m., deputies tried to stop a vehicle in Brookings. The driver attempted to elude police, but eventually abandoned the vehicle on English Drive.
Deputies arrested David J. Rhodes Jr., 22, of Smith River, Calif.; Tiffany R. Arnett, 23, of Brookings; and Eduardo L. Ramos, 19, of Brookings, all on charges of possession, delivery and manufacture of methamphetamine. Rhodes and Ramos also were charged with probation violations. They were taken to Curry County jail, where Arnett was being held this morning on $132,500 bail. The other two were being held without bail.
