The elevator in the Coos County Courthouse in Coquille will be out of service for upgrades starting on Dec. 1.

The elevator is expected to be grounded until Jan. 16. The elevator has had severe problems and needs motors, cables and Americans with Disabilities Act upgrades, according to a Coos County press release.

Those who need accommodations to get to the second floor of the courthouse during the repair can make arrangements by calling 396-3121, ext. 379, the day before arriving.
