“The Dining Room” opens at 7 p.m. Friday, Hales Center for the Performing Art, Southwestern Oregon Community College Coos Bay campus. Show runs Fridays and Saturdays through Nov. 22. North Bend High School’s Hesperian Players will present “Story Theatre,” a collection of comedic vignettes from Grimm Brothers’ collection and Aesop’s fables, adapted for the stage by Paul Sills. Show runs Friday, through Sunday, Nov. 23, at the NBHS Theater. Show times are at 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and at 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. 756-8328.

Oregon Shakespeare Festival will present a special performance by two festival actors at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, at the Sawdust Theatre in Coquille. The presentation of classical and contemporary literature is part of the School Visit Partnership Program. After visiting Coquille High School, the actors will also visit Marshfield High School on Friday, Dec. 5. 396-2163.
