Variety show sets stage for feeding hungry

Bandon performers will take their talent to the stage Saturday for the Bandon Feeds The Hungry Variety Show.

The fundraising event begins at 7 p.m. at the Sprague Community Theater on Southwest 11th Street next to Bandon City Park.

The show will include adult tap dancers from MarLo Dance Studio performing to “Minnie the Moocher;” Catherine Rowe and “Harmonica Ray” Silvia on vocals, harmonica and guitar; Gold Coast Chorus; ABandon Beledi dancers; Buddy Trevino on guitar and vocals; Tatiana Havill with an Arabian dance; Rob and Jeani Hamilton, guitar, mandolin and vocals; Geneva and Lachlan Miller, piano and vocals; Otter on Native American flute; Dave Takahashi with music from the 1970s; Brooke Crawford, ballet; and Nicholas Zamora on trumpet.

There will be a silent auction with numerous items, including artist supplies, motel lodging, numerous gift certificates from merchants, four rounds of golf at Bandon Crossings and an annual boat launch pass from Port of Bandon.

There will also be a 50/50 drawing with 50 percent of the donation drawing ticket price to go to Bandon Feeds the Hungry and the other 50 percent to be divided between three lucky winners. Bring a non-perishable food item and your name will be entered into a door prize drawing.

Tickets are $12 for general admission. For seniors (60 and older) and students, the cost is $10.  Tickets are available at Bandon Mercantile, Bandon True Value, Winter River Books and at the Sprague theater.
