The U.S. Bureau of Land Management and U.S. Forest Service will waive recreation-related fees for veterans and military personnel, along with their families, on Veterans Day, Tuesday.
“We want to thank the men and women who have served or are serving our country through military service,” said BLM Director Jim Caswell, in a press release. “This is a small, but special way in which we can express our gratitude and our appreciation to them.”
The Forest Service manages the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area between North Bend and Florence.
The fee waiver on Veterans Day applies to public recreation lands under the management of the BLM, National Park Service, Fish and Wildlife Service and Bureau of Reclamation, along with the U.S. Forest Service. |
