Julia Holbein and Jake Miller Announce engagement Contributed photo

Julia Barbara Holbein, of Lexington, Ky., and Jacob “Jake” A. Miller, of Coos Bay, have announced their plans to marry for time and all eternity on Dec. 30, 2008, at the Portland temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A reception in their honor will be held Dec. 29, 2008, in Coos Bay.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Gordon and Geraldine Holbein of Lexington. Julia is a 2003 graduate of Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School in Lexington. She is currently attending Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, majoring in marriage, family and human development.

The future groom is the son of Teresa and David Richards of Coos Bay and Lyle Miller of Glendale, Ariz. Jake is a 2004 graduate of Marshfield High School in Coos Bay. He is currently attending Brigham Young University in Provo and majoring in economics.

After the wedding, the couple plan to make their home in Provo.
