Haunted theater

Little Theatre on the Bay will hold a haunted theater event from 7 to 11 p.m. on Halloween, and from 4 to 9 p.m.  Saturday, Nov. 1. The cost is $3.

Life is a cabaret

The Broadway Theater will present Cabaret of Souls at 9 p.m. Friday, Halloween night, 266 Broadway St., Coos Bay.

Local band Ring will be the featured musical act. Ring also will celebrate the release of their new CD “Concentric.” There also will be belly and fire dancing with Fatinah Maysaa and Rythm Village and DJ Woody Gibb spinning on a Revolution Hi-fi sound system.

Cost is $7 with a costume, $10 without.

Fun in costume

A Halloween costume party will be held at Wanda’s Food & Beverage House in Coos Bay at 9 p.m. Friday. The band, Ambush, will be play Friday and again on Saturday. There is no cover charge.

Paranormal pumpkins

The Mountain View Farms pumpkin patch in Lakeside will host a haunted attraction from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights.

The event is rated PG-13, and is $8 per person. The patch is located 3.25 miles on North Lake Lane.

Halloween Alternative

The Bay Area Church of the Nazarene and Kingsview Christian School will host the annual Halloween Alternative at no charge from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.

Activities will include a Jump for Fun, plinko, bingo, fishing for prizes and much more. For more information, call 756-2004 .

Candy treats

 Coos Bay Elks Lodge No. 1160 members will be in front of the lodge, 265 Central Ave. in Coos Bay, handing out candy and drug awareness packets to children and adults.

Haunted rehab

A Halloween open house will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Hearthside Rehab, 2625 Koos Bay Blvd., in Coos Bay. There will be a haunted house, goodies, a barbecue for $2.50 and cake walk. All ages are welcome. For more information, call 267-2161.

Grandpa incognito

Grandparents Rock will meet at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Faith Lutheran Church in North Bend. All are invited to come in costume, go trick or treating and visit Little Theatre on the Bay’s Haunted House.

Ghost bustin’

Coast Ghost Paranormal Research Society will present paranormal investigations of historic Coos Bay buildings for Halloween in a two-day, one night adventure divided into three sections.

The event begins Friday when participants to meet at Southwestern Oregon Community College’s campus’ Eden Hall at 4 p.m. Pre-registration is required. For more information, call 888-7328.

Behind the mask

A costume party will be held at Billy Smoothboar’s on U.S. Highway 101 and Seabird Drive at 9 p.m. Friday.  A live disc jockey will provide music and prizes for the best costumes will be awarded.

Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the door with a costume and $15 at the door without a costume. For more information, call 347-2000.

Egyptian horror

The Egyptian Theater will present the horror film, “NOSFERATU” (1922) at 7 p.m.  Friday.

Changed persona

Stray Katz Bar, formerly known as Gussies, will host a halloween costume contest with live music by Three of a Kind, and drink specials starting at 9 p.m. Friday.

Safe festivities

A Fall Festival safe, alternative Halloween event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m.  Friday at Highlands Baptist Church in Reedsport. Games, candy and refreshments will be provided. For more information, call 271-4406.

Halloween sounds

The Dale Inskeep Band will perform at 7 p.m. Friday at the High Tide Café, 91124 Cape Arago Highway, Charleston, during a Halloween party. The local band plays surf country original music. For more information, call 888-3664, or visit http://www.daleinskeep.com.

Classic horror

A Halloween party at the Blue Moon Restaurant & Lounge, 871 S. Broadway St., Coos Bay, will feature the Hot Tamales, who performing pop dancing music of the 1960s and 90s. The show begins at 9 p.m. Friday.

A showing of classic horror movies is included in the festivities. No cover. For more information, call 269-9004.

Spirited fun

Walt’s Pourhouse, 1880 N. Seventh St., Coos Bay, is throwing a Halloween party and costume contest with prizes on Friday night. For more information, call 267-5588.
