Obama entitles voters to nothing

Perhaps you’ve noticed over the years, how so many of the black leaders, Jesse Jackson, et al, have manipulated African-Americans into a victim mentality, thus establishing themselves as so-called saviors of their race. It continues to work for them.

While observing the Democratic Party and how it has worked over the past decade in politicizing things, I see some similarities.

I somewhere read the word, “inculcate” and being unfamiliar with what it meant looked it up: “To cause or influence others to accept an idea or feeling by repetition of an idea or belief.”

An interesting word as it pertains to how I see the political world working.

Another example to consider as it pertains to “inculcation” is the case of George W. Bush. From the time he began his original bid for president, the tactic of the Democratic Party was to demonize and brand him unfavorably from every angle imaginable, and they did it non-stop. Just as it is with African-Americans having been inculcated with the mantra they were, are and will continue to be victims, over time it has worked against G.W.

Now to look at this in a broader sense, the Democratic Party has used this same tactic with the American public over the years. It has been easy to “inculcate” the public while repeatedly offering that they are victims of a corrupt government, while somehow ignoring or conveniently failing to mention that Democrats are an integral party to the government. The fact that they “inculcated” G.W., to the point that so many harbor a sense of hatred toward him, has made this an easy ploy to perpetuate.

I say so with the belief that today we live in a society ingrained with a sense of entitlement.

The Democratic Party has preyed on those sharing this attitude via inculcative messages that only they are the party capable of providing for, and capable of saving them, and it is working.

An interesting quote: “Everyone drinks from a well that someone else dug or sits under a tree that someone else planted. Entitlists, for their own self-centered reasons, ignore that we all have an obligation and responsibility to plan and do for ourselves.”

That self-serving attitude is a significant driving force behind the Obama popularity and one that will ultimately leave a great many supporters gravely disappointed when they discover that you don’t get nothin’ for nothin’.

What McCain offers wrote on Oct 31, 2008 9:43 AM:

The McCain Administration would extend the lower income tax rates passed in 2001 and 2003. McCain believes that in order to raise taxes, a three-fifths majority vote should be required in Congress. Sen. McCain voted for
H.R. 5140, "The Economic Stimulus Act of 2008" which included a one-year expansion of small business expensing for equipment and technology investments.
Sen. Obama was not present for the vote on H.R. 5140, The Economic Stimulus Act of 2008. Obama will reverse most of the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts.

Just Saying.... HERE, HERE, Well spoken but you forgot a couple of other failures of Bush and thus McCains party. The housing slump and the failing economy. It will now be up to the Democrats to, once again, right the ship, so this country can get on with the business of being the great country it once was under the Clinton administration.

Obama is dangerous. Anyone that does not think his associations are worthy of exploring is among the most ignorant. No one ever thought 9-11 could happen but it did. If Obama gets elected watch who he puts in his cabinet and as his advisor. Most of their names will have Arab roots. He has been backed by them for so many years and he owes them BIG TIME. Bin Ladin said he would destroy the US from within and these people mean it. They are infiltrating our government silently. Sounds like hysterics but it is not. Do some research about his associations. Farakhan calls him the Messiah, Al-Mansour got him into Harvard, Rev Wright preached hate to him for 20 yrs and he sat there and listened and never disowned him until he was running for Predident, Saul Alinski, a trip to Pakistan when he was in his 20's. CAIR, ACORN...look up these things it is all out there for you. Then tell me if we can take a chance on this guy.

Time to put these Faux News Fearspewing Fascistas out to pasture next Tuesday! Let 'em whine on the radical right call-in shows, complaining about "socialism" when the GOP policies have been about socialism for the rich and for the corporations while the middle class shrinks ever more. Let them whine about "accountability" when their policies were based on lies and denial. Let then whine about "the value of work" when jobs went overseas or else wound up paying so low that the ordinary person could barely keep themselves above water. Let them whine, whine and whine until the next election I say!

It's music to my ears!

Mary -

You speak out against people who repeat an idea over and over until they believe it, whether or not it is true. Your letter is a perfect example of such behavior. This letter continues the racist tradition of lumping all African Americans into a single pool of beliefs while simultaneousy tethering them to a sterotype of getting something for nothing.

Having seen for myself in my lifetime whites-only restaurants and drinking fountains, one should realize that true equality has been and remains elusive. Letters such as yours, derogatory and dismissive of an entire race, only perpetuate that imagery and, thusly, its reality. It's too bad that, in your bloviated claim to intellectual superiority, based on your postulation with a new word you have learned and, subliminally, on your own skin color, you fail to see your own contribution to this reality.

You should be ashamed.

just saying... wrote on Oct 28, 2008 11:44 AM:

The most damning evidence against G W Bush are his own failures. From failing to protect the US against 9/11 despite warnings, to the inept response by abandoning the hunt for Bin Laden in Afghanistan to persue an unnecessary war in Iraq, to a failure to respond to Katrina. These were not manufactured through repeated statements by Democrats. These were repetitious failures of this administration.

Bush's Arab oil cartel friends, Cheney's Halliburton buddies, and Abramoff's allies are the ones who have been getting something for nothing. And it's been at the expense of US blood, treasury, and the theft from and bankrupting of future generations.
