Fortunately for the city, Oregon tort claims are limited to $100,000. So, we get to pay Janell, her lawyer, city inside counsel, city outside counsel, and court costs. And, we'll get to hear more dirty laundry when Scott McClure and Bill Grile are deposed. Acting city manager Jansen has already damaged us by putting it all in writing, signing it, and giving copies to Janell. Jeff wants to stay in office for damage control reasons.

Will Muenchrath where his R2D2 costume? I think it only appropriate.
His dress up speaks volumes to me as a voter. Who is this guy really? Dr Quinn Medicine woman? Who really knows? I say lets go for the guy with class and who actually can devote his time to the cause, who has done such a good job so far. I quit playing dress up when I was of legal voting age.

Ronop has part of it right here. What Jeff will continue to do is avoid politically sensitive issues, such the recent personnel issues, ORC, and LNG so as not to alienate anyone who may otherwise cast a vote for him. Sometimes and issue demands a firm stance, even if it's unpopular. Ronop is a bit conservative: the City will be lucky to get off for $100,000 on the Janell Howard matter. Her annual salary alone was in the $80k range, then you've got legal fees, punitive damages(if awarded), etc. It could get ugly. Whoever the two nameless attorneys are that advised on this matter, it seems very likely the City of CB got bad advice indeed.

It's time for Jeff to tell us what he will do that he hasn't done in the past 12 years. He has given us mess after mess. Now we get the Janell Howard mess that will cost us at least $100,000.
