“Remember When: Coos County Schools 1859-1940” captures the flavor of the original schools that were scattered throughout the county, the author said in a press release. His extensive research included interviews with more than 150 people.

The first book in Lansing’s series, “Seeing the Forest for the Trees,” brings into focus how and when Coos County was settled specifically for its bountiful timber and coal resources.

All three of Lansing’s books will be available for purchase and signing on Nov. 1.
