Meet Reedsport city manager candidates

The Reedsport City Council has narrowed its search for a new city manager to three candidates.
The city is inviting the town’s residents to get to know the applicants at a Meet and Greet event from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 5, at the Umpqua Discovery Center.
The candidates include Scott Somers, who is an assistant city manager for the city of Savage, Minn. Douglas County Planning Department’s assistant planner, Jonathon Wright also is in the final three. The other candidate is John Lechuga, who was formerly employed with Wicks Broadcasting in Reedsport.
The public event will give people a chance to meet the candidates and get to know them.
