Tuesday, October 21, 2008 |
Oregon’s Ocean Policy Advisory Council will hold a two-day meeting at the Florence Events Center on Thursday and Friday to consider marine reserve nominations.
Twenty sites have been nominated. On Thursday, groups will give presentations on the proposals. Robin Brown of the Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife will speak at noon on the topic of relations between seals and sea lions and fish.
On Friday, OPAC will take public comment about the proposed sites beginning at 8 a.m. Each person will have three minutes and the comments are expected to last most of the day. People who submit written testimony should bring 25 copies.
