Upcoming South Coast road races

See Jane Run — Today, starting at 10 a.m. at John Topits Park in Coos Bay. Events for the South Coast Women Only Run and Walk include a 5-kilometer (3.1-mile) run or walk and a noncompetitive 1-mile fun walk. Proceeds benefit the Coos Conty Women’s Safety and Resource Center. The entry fee is $22 with a T-shirt and $10 without.

Turkey Trot — Thursday, Nov. 27, starting at 9 a.m. at John Topits Park. This fun, Thanksgiving Day run is informal, with runners choosing their own distance. Participants are asked to bring two or more canned food items for a local food bank. For more information, call Tim and Barbara Young at 267-7960.
