Youth Sports: Deadline to sign up for Boys &Girls Club volleyball is Monday

Monday is the last day for students in the Bay Area to sign up for volleyball at the Boys & Girls Club of Southwestern Oregon.

All boys and girls in grades 3 through 6 are eligible to participate. The fee is $50 with a current club membership. Scholarships and fee reductions are available for those who qualify. Players will not be placed on teams until they complete registration. Practice may start Oct. 20 and games begin Nov. 15.

Reedsport and Coquille registration

Registration nights for volleyball will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Highland Elementary School in Reedsport and 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday at Coquille Valley School.

Students in those cities who want to play, but who are unable to attend, can call 267-6573.

Third/Fourth Grade Flag Football: Domino’s (Blossom Gulch), coached by Terry Godden.

Fifth/Sixth Grade Flag Football: Knife River Materials (Bay Area), coached by Jess Alvillar.
