See Jane Run — Saturday, Oct. 18, starting at 10 a.m. at John Topits Park in Coos Bay. Events for the South Coast Women Only Run and Walk will include a 5-kilometer (3.1-mile) run or walk and a noncompetitive 1-mile fun walk. Both events will be held on the paved trails around Empire Lakes. Proceeds benefit the Coos County Women’s Safety and Resource Center. The entry fee is $22 with a shirt and $10 without. Entry forms are available at the Women’s Safety and Resource Center, 1681 Newmark Ave., in Coos Bay, or by calling 290-3243 or 888-1048.
