The Coos Bay Public Library will be offering a “Searching the Web” class for novice Internet users from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the North Bend High School Technology Center. Seating is limited, so pre-registration is required. For more information, call 269-1101.

Seniors can learn about driving safely longer, and save money in the process, by taking a DMV-approved AARP Driver Safety Class. The class will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. The Southwest Oregon Chapter of the Professional Engineers of Oregon will hold a meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the Red Lion Inn’s Coquille Room, 1313 N. Broadway in Coos Bay. A post traumatic stress disorder support group will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Southwestern Oregon Veterans Outreach office, Suite 208 in the Pony Village Mall, 1611 Virginia Ave., North Bend. The meeting will end at 8 p.m. The group will be facilitated by Mark Winders, a Vietnam War U.S. Marine Corps veteran. It is a peer-to-peer group. One-on-one meetings also are available. Bay Area Senior Activity Center offers soups, salads, entrées and desserts at 11:30 a.m. Wednesdays through Fridays. Cost is $4 for BASAC members, $4.50 for non-members.
