CB man injured in robbery
Monday, October 13, 2008 10:50 AM PDT
Coos Bay and North Bend police are looking for three suspects who attacked a Coos Bay man in Empire on Saturday and stole his wallet.
Twenty-eight-year-old James Reed was walking alone near the intersection of South Morrison Street and Webster Avenue at about 5:10 a.m., when the strangers approached him.
Reed told officers one man was carrying a baseball bat. The attackers apparently threatened him, and ran off with his wallet, coat and hat. Reed said the suspects injured him in the robbery, but he did not want to see a doctor.
Police have made no arrests and have no suspects and are investigating the incident. Reed was unable to provide police with a description of the men, but there may have been a gray Honda car associated with the men.
No further information was available at press time.
