The “Armchair Film Adventure” series continues at 2 p.m. at Coos Bay Public Library’s Myrtlewood Meeting Room. This month’s film features the lights and sights of Las Vegas. For more information, call 269-1101.

The Coquille Valley Elks will meet at 7 p.m. at the lodge, 54942 Maple Heights Road, in Coquille. Dinner is served from 5 to 7 p.m., and initiation is held generally during the meeting on the last Tuesday of the month. Board meetings are held on second and fourth Mondays of each month at 5:30 p.m.

The Acktion Club will meet from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at Bay Area Christian Fellowship, 175 S. Third St., Coos Bay. It is a community service organization, comprising developmentally disabled adults, sponsored by the Bay Area Kiwanis Club. Prospective members and volunteers can attend meetings and participate in the club’s community service and fundraising projects.
