Southwestern Oregon Community College and Coos Bay City Council — 2 p.m., cedar room, Coos Bay Public Library, 525 Anderson Ave., Coos Bay; special meeting to discuss the public safety issues at the community college.

Public Works Standing Council Committee — 4 p.m., city manager’s conference room, city hall, 500 Central Ave., Coos Bay; regular meeting.

Bay Area Health District Board of Directors — 6:30 p.m., conference room Myrtle, Bay Area Hospital, 1775 Thompson Road, Coos Bay; regular meeting.

Flora M. Laird Memorial Library Board — 6:30 p.m., meeting room, library, 435 Fifth St., Myrtle Point; regular meeting.

Wednesday, Oct. 15

League of Women Voters of Coos County — 7 p.m., council chambers, city hall, 500 Central Ave., Coos Bay; public meeting.

Thursday, Oct. 16

Coos County Airport District Board of Commissioners — 7:30 a.m., board room, mezzanine level, terminal building, Southwest Oregon Regional Airport, 1100 Airport Lane, North Bend; regular meeting followed by an executive session to conduct deliberations concerning property transactions, consider records exempt by law from public inspection and to consult with counsel regarding right and duties and litigation .

League of Women Voters of Coos County — 7 p.m., council chambers, city hall, 500 Central Ave., Coos Bay; public meeting.
