Robber targets Coos Bay drive-thru coffee shop

Coos Bay police are asking for the public’s help in catching a man who robbed a Dutch Bros. Coffee stand Sunday night.

A 911 call reporting the robbery came in to dispatchers at 9:20 p.m., a press release said. A coffee customer told police a female Dutch Bros. employee said she had been held up by a man with a weapon. The caller told police he saw a man running east from the coffee stand at 843 S. First St. in the direction of Farr’s Hardware.

The suspect is described as a white man in his mid-20s. He is tall and slender with brown hair, and was wearing a brown hat and jacket.

Coos Bay officers searched the area, but were unable to find the man. The Dutch Bros. employee was not hurt, police said.

Investigators are not releasing information about whether money was taken and the type of weapon used.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Coos Bay Police. Callers can remain anonymous and Coos Stop Crime Hotline at (800) 368-6425.
