Southwestern Oregon Community College Board of Education announced it will hold an emergency executive session Wednesday morning.

The college sent out an e-mail today saying it will hold a closed executive session at 9:30 a.m., at Tioga Hall, Room 505, 1988 Newmark Ave., Coos Bay. The board plans to consider “information exempt by law from public inspection.”

College lawyer Roger Gould declined to say specifically what the meeting is about.

“Right now there’s a letter from a lawyer to a lawyer and that’s what we’ll be discussing,” he said.

An open session will immediately follow the conclusion of the executive session.

Gould said meeting does not concern an anticipated Oregon School Boards Association report. That report is to evaluate, analyze and recommend improvement opportunities in the college’s organizational culture, environment and management.

Nothing would please me more than if it was a letter from Hansen's lawyer. She certainly would be justified in doing so.
