PSU student accused in early morning fire

PORTLAND (AP) — Investigators arrested a Portland State University student suspected of starting a fire at a dormitory early Monday.
Paul Rowley has been charged with suspicion of arson and lodged at the Multnomah County Jail.
Portland Fire Bureau spokesman Lt. Allen Oswalt says the 31-year-old was a resident of the building. Another resident extinguished the blaze before firefighters arrived.
Oswalt says the fire caused about $10,000 damage.
