When you are stuck between the fickle finger of federal philanthropy and the malicious thumb of sentimental environmentalists — you are truly in a fearsome place.

The dirty little secret is there is real opposition to resource extraction, whether it is logging, fishing, mining (rock for concrete from rivers) or use of our land; whether it be hunting, livestock, grass seed production — there are elements in our body politic that oppose all of it and aggressively use all legal and demonstrative means to inhibit production and make our use more expensive.

Drilling for oil is a most sore point, of course an increase in supply will affect price, but Rep.. DeFazio and other “progressives” (socialists) can only offer their services to regulate commerce and take your money to fund their “alternative energy” schemes.  Time out!

My vote goes to a working mom who can gut a moose and knows where food comes from to provide a counterpoint to the cabal of Democratic politicians and their media wing, found even at The World.  We need to give the boys in Washington D.C., less money and less temptation. Forget their largess. Just let us go to work and keep the fruits of our labor.
